Welcome!

Hi & Hello! This blog is the beginning of what I hope to be a long and successful blog. Here you will find people coming together to discuss a book as they read. I will warn you now, there will be spoilers told on this blog, as every week the a new blog will be posted discussing the recent chapters.

The blog is owned by me, but I hope to have some guests moderators from time to time.

So the biggest question I have is WHEN to begin and with WHAT BOOK???

I am currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger so for me it's the perfect place to begin. I plan on still posting book reviews on my natneagle.com blog, but this one is solely for discussing different aspects of the story and going into major details.

So let me know what book you want to discuss first in the comments below. Here are my choices, but you can include your own as well:

Once I get everyone's opinion on the book they want to read first, I will post a poll and the winning book will be the book of the month! IF you don't want to use any of the books below feel free to name your own book!

  1. Dear John by Nicholas Sparks
  2. The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
  3. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
  4. Thirst by Christopher Pike
This is going to be fun!
xoxo
Nat

Hi Nat! I think we should begin asap. And as for the book, I have no idea. We need to get time to get the book and how to decide which book. Maybe you should do a post with your nominations and let us page turners nominate too, and then we vote it off.
For now, i'll just go along with the majority because I have no idea what book we should read. Well byes for now!

Wow, haters! Why don't you just leave? If you can't even make yourself not anonymous and be adult why do you even pay any attention to what Nat does? Just leave her alone!

I guess I should answer your question too! I got sidetracked with the mean comments...I really want to read The Time Traveler's Wife and Dear John. I'd love to reread The Lovely Bones though. I don't really know anything about Thirst, but I'd be interested in finding out more and reading it probably. I think this new blog is great!

I read the first two... Currently reading The Choice, should finish by tonight!

I'm really eager to read A Reliable Wife, so I may skip out on the first book, pending what you pick!!

I like the idea of us sending in nominations, and the moderator (you or a guest) can choose from the list, and then poll, and then the highest voted is the book of the month!

    I Nat!
I love books, but I from Argentina and my english is very limited but thanks to translators on the Internet maybe I can continue your reading, of course I read the books in Spanish or I would have to read two books: the book that the club and a dictionary to understand the first lol :P
But I love the idea and of course you have my support... and in the way I learn new vocabulary in english aunque mi mayor problema sigue siendo hablarlo...
Anyway I support the Book Club!!!
    XOXO

First of all, thanks for starting the book club/group!

Of the choices presented, I'd like to read #4 The Lovely Bones. I've heard good things, and it's been on my "To Read" list for YEARS. Sad that I've yet to get around to it, but this just might be the motivation I need!

As for when to start, it's April 1st, if we can choose the first book in the next few days or so, then I'd say go ahead with it for Aprils selection.

As for the future, at the beginning of the last week of each month, we should start with suggestions and the selection process for the upcoming month. That way we're decided and ready to get the book and start reading when the 1st rolls around.

I have high hopes for our group! Page Turners Unite! Hehe

I read The Lovely Bones recently so I could go over it again and I would love to discuss it. I haven't read the other 3 but I want to read the Time Travelers Wife now that I've seen the movie. I'd like to read Dear John too since I want to see the movie eventually. I haven't heard of Thirst but if its a vampire story I will definitely read it! great first choices. It might be fun to start with Lovely Bones.

Hey! great idea for a book club! I'm new to the make up world on youtube but love your videos! so I thought I would join in with this club. I am currently reading "The Last Song" and I have also read "Dear John" as well as most of his other books! I'm a big fan of his work. I also love "The Time Travelers Wife" I'm not sure what you all love to read but I have been in love with vampire or supernatural books since I first read twilight over 2 years ago. If you like those type of books i would suggest The "Sookie Stackhouse" series by Charlean Harris They are the books that the show True Blood is based on. Another Great series is The Immortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. And the last of the Vampire/supernatural i would suggest is The Vampire Diaries by L.J Smith. Now for a great series its not about vampires but it is by Suzanne Collins and its the "Hunger Games" series which as of right now has 2 books out with the 3rd coming out in August I believe. So those are my suggestions and just to let you all know I'm not a teenager lol I'm 28 and from Canada. I just LOVE all of those books and just wanted to share.

ok now that I have written a book here, I'm going :)

Since the only book out of the 4 suggested by you I have not read is Thirst by Christopher Pike, I pick that one!

I am very excited to start this book club. :)

Hi Nat!! What a great idea for a book club. I am so down to join. If you pick a book I am into I am so in!

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks can be a great one to start with. His books are generally quick reads.

Have you read Jodi Picoult books? She wrote "My Sister's Keeper". Her books are great for book clubs because they are really thought provoking and can lead to a ton of conversation. I have read a few by her but there are about 15 or so. I love her books!!

I am up for any. I haven't read any that are mentioned. I did finish The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks recently, so Dear John may be a good option for me. However, I am up for any. Good Luck!

oh... I do enjoy Kristin Hannah. I read her book Firefly Lane and now quite a few of her books have made it to my to-read list.. Unfortunately I'm not the quickest reader.. so it'll be a while since my to-read list is probably a mile long and I always buy books that aren't on my list, they just look so enticing with their covers.. lol
