The Last Song: Chapter 23 - Epilogue

The month is coming to an end and so is our first book discussion. This was a lot of fun and the book was a fairly quick read for me. I can't wait to see what the next month has in store for us! Now on to the questions...

1. Where did Ronnie get a job? 
2. Why was Ronnie supposed to appear in court?
3. Will asks Ronnie how far she would go to protect a friend. Why does he do this? How far would YOU go to protect a friend?
4. Why does Will let his mother control/guilt him into doing so much? 
5. Who did Ronnie recognize at Will's sister's wedding? 
6. What does Marcus do at the wedding to mess up things?
7. Why does Ronnie get angry with Will towards the end of the novel? 
8. Do you think Ronnie over-reacted and should have broken up with Will over this?
9. What has Steve been hiding from his kids? 
10. Why did Steve like to play the piano since moving to NC? 
11. Ronnie makes a huge decision towards the end of the novel. What was it? Could you have done it?

The Last Song: Chapter 6 - Chapter 22

This is a pretty decent chunk of the book, but I think a lot of good stuff happens during this part. A lot of feelings are expressed and I see the characters mature very quickly. Discussion questions:

1. Why does Steve build a wall around the piano?
2. Why does Will fall for Ronnie? 
3. Why does Ronnie fall for Will? 
4. Who causes tension between Will and Ronnie as their friendship/relationship starts to blossom?
5. How can you characterize Blaze's relationship with Marcus? 
6. What is Steve and Jonah working on in the shed all summer? 
7. What does Ronnie fight so hard to protect that brings her closer to Will? 
8. What is your reaction to the book up to this point? 

The Last Song: Prologue - Chapter 5

As you read Chapter 1-5 I am curious as to what you thought about the scenrio that unfolded. Answer the following in the comments:

I have a ridiculously busy weekend ahead of me, so I doubt I'm able to post any discussion questions regarding the first few chapters until the beginning of the week.

Time to Pick Our First Book!!

Ok the time has come to vote on our first book. I took the four choices I had posted originally in my first post and added one more that was suggested over and over in the comments. The sooner we start the better so that we can all finish reading this book by the end of April. Once this book is chosen we can begin the chapter discussions and general conversation about the book itself.

Vote on the book between  NOW and Friday, April 9th. 

If the book is chosen that you are not interested in, or we discuss faster than you are able to keep up, just leave comments whenever you deem fit. You don't have to participate in a book discussion to stay a part of the club.

Welcome!

Hi & Hello! This blog is the beginning of what I hope to be a long and successful blog. Here you will find people coming together to discuss a book as they read. I will warn you now, there will be spoilers told on this blog, as every week the a new blog will be posted discussing the recent chapters.

The blog is owned by me, but I hope to have some guests moderators from time to time.

So the biggest question I have is WHEN to begin and with WHAT BOOK???

I am currently reading The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger so for me it's the perfect place to begin. I plan on still posting book reviews on my natneagle.com blog, but this one is solely for discussing different aspects of the story and going into major details.

So let me know what book you want to discuss first in the comments below. Here are my choices, but you can include your own as well:
